We are honoured to welcome Dr. Valerie Krym as our keynote speaker. Dr. Krym is an emergency physician, global health expert, and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto with decades of experience strengthening healthcare systems in low- and middle-income countries. She has worked extensively with the World Health Organization, Médecins Sans Frontières, and other international organizations to advance emergency medicine, public health, and global health education. Dr. Krym will share insights on sustainable, locally driven healthcare partnerships and the critical role that rehabilitation plays in strengthening health systems around the world.

Team 27 - Spring 2026
Carol (Rehab Engineer), Mikayla (Physiotherapist), Sandra (Health Educator),
​Kayleigh (Occupational Therapist), Sameer (Occupational Therapist)​

Team 27 travelled through Nepal in April 2026, and visited 5 hospitals and community organizations to support rehabilitation services there.  The team delivered clinical education, supported patient care, conducted home visits, and strengthened partnerships. A consistent theme throughout the visit was the dedication and adaptability of local teams despite limited resources.
